I wrote a whole thing and lost it, so I am going to give you the cliff notes:
>They are expensive
>They need decent sized enclosures with hides and vertical platforms
>They need good deep heat projectors and good quality UV
>Once setup they are very low maintenance and cheap to feed
>They can live 20 years
>They can be handle but they are defensive in their enclosures so you must be calm as well as swift when picking them up so you don't scare them or stress them enough for them to try and bite you
>They feel incredible to handle
>They will hide in the daytime and come out at night
>They are not too smart
>Their poop is not too bad but they can shit all over the glass in the night while climbing, although I have yet to see that personally
>You can hand feed them but they need to be in a comfortable position as well as tricked into doing it
>Leaving pots of food in their enclosure works and is easy too
>Different varieties will be different size so do your research as they can be as long as 10 or even 20 inches
>You can only have one per enclosure unless you have a breeding pair, but even then, you have to monitor them as they will injure eachother through the mating process
>Some males have small sacks which can make them appear female until another male is introduced and the territorial testosterones kick in and they grow to male size so make sure you sex them properly before getting a pair
>They jump like cats so you must keep a watch for when they posture to pounce during handling, but if you're next to their enclosure with an open door they will just jump back into it onto a branch
All in rewarding, but very different from other Geckos. If you think they will be like Leos you will be in for a culture shock but they are impressive animals. I am retard and I can look after one, but you need money to invest into doing it properly.
