I'm sorry if you've experienced mistreatment by religious parents or such, but you need to develop a personal relationship with Jesus, not with sinful human beings.

You're telling all sorts of lies. Jesus didn't tell people to hate their family for no reason. He was emphasizing the importance of choosing Him and the truth rather than going along with the erroneous ways of what your friends and family are doing, which leads to death.

For example, your friends/family might be some kind of pagans, and Jesus is telling us not to conform to their ways just because you're close to them.

You're just telling yourself falsehoods to feel better about being able to remain in sin and rebellion against your Creator. I don't doubt that even your "worship" of your deities is essentially just a fantasy roleplay. There is no real meaning and depth to it.

There is actual wisdom and life-saving truth in the Bible. And Jesus' power truly saves you from your wicked self.

"For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who perish; but unto us who are saved, it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18, KJ21)
Unfortunately it's become all too typical for troubled souls to reply to my threads with off-topic nonsense, or otherwise falsehoods. I pray that whoever needs to be led to the truth of the gospel the most is given the inspiration that they need.

"Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6, HCSB)

What matters most is that you develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

If you can find a church with friendly, devout people then that's a bonus.

You'll have to use your own discernment to decide which branch (denomination) church is right for you.

"The people who believe that Jesus is the Messiah are God’s children. Anyone who loves the Father also loves the Father’s children. How do we know that we love God’s children? We know because we love God and we obey His commands. Loving God means obeying His commands. And God’s commands are not too hard for us, because everyone who is a child of God has the power to win against the world." (1 John 5:1-4, ERV)
