He was the first boss I no-hit. I thought he was alright at first but after doing it no-hit, I thought it was fun (this webm is so high quality).
I always liked fighting both Tree Sentinel types and Loretta and this fight is sorta similar to those but with more jumpable stuff.

Nah, Gaius is a great boss and you most definetly are incentivized in jumping and attacking while he charges. He's also full of attacks that straight up whiff if you got hands and can actually move. Him being a tank is necessary
Midra on the other hand, vindicates the massive evolution that is Elden Ring boss design by being a shitty turn based boss, which is why it was a shitter favourite.
