1. Consistent Characterization Across Media & Games
One of the biggest complaints is that Sonic and friends feel like hollow caricatures depending on who’s writing (quippy Sonic in Forces, nothingburger Knuckles in Boom, etc.). Giving the cast a unified “core voice” again—Sonic as cocky but empathetic, Tails as competent not cowardly, Knuckles as serious but not dumb—would stop half the endless arguments.

2. Gameplay Depth Beyond “Boost to Win”
/sthg/ always groans about shallow gameplay. Bringing back multiple playstyles (a la Adventure), or at least depth within Sonic’s own moveset (momentum, exploration, rewarding skill expression) would silence a lot of the “modern Sonic is soulless” complaints. Basically: respect the physics/platforming crowd instead of just spectacle runners.

3. Treat the Story Like It Matters
Not “grimdark,” but give it weight like Adventure 1 & 2. Let characters contribute meaningfully to the plot instead of being cheerleaders for Sonic. Cut down on quips, bring back stakes, and don’t be afraid to mix humor with real drama. Fans in /sthg/ crave something that takes itself just seriously enough to feel ambitious again.
