Oh yeah, cutscene is in-engine, so you get too see the chat right above the ship, over the deck, first seconds of the game. Can't find the video and mb they've patched it finally, but definitely happened to me in previous expansion. You can skip pretty much everything in wow with gold. Like literally pay-to-skip playing any aspect of the game from start to finish.
