After the various buffs and fixes, this thing doesn't feel all that bad anymore. At least on bots.

Fact of the matter is, AT weapons have a bunch of overkill against all but one or two bot heavies, and also come with long cooldowns and/or limited ammo. But for the longest time everybody has tolerated it simply because there's no better option, every AT weapon basically works the same way. It just comes down to how much overkill you're willing to waste, and how long of a cooldown you're willing to tolerate.

The Epoch feels like it solves that problem by sub-dividing its damage into several bite-sized shots, and letting you disengage/reload as needed between those shots. More specifically, the existence of bot weak points means you don't have to waste an entire AT projectile and suffer the resulting cooldown/reload if you can get a heatsink or vent shot. Because the Epoch comes with 15 shots, using one of those to kill a Tank or Hulk or Turret with a heatsink shot is a lot more economical, which rewards players who take the time and effort to maneuver for one of those shots. Same for taking out Fabricators with vent shots, and especially for blowing up Mortar/AA Emplacements. Even if you were using the Quasar which has infinite ammo, each shot incurs a 15 second cooldown, which is annoying to deal with. And in the event that you need two shots to kill a War Strider or Hulk from the front, it's still technically more ammo efficient than the Recoilless, which also requires an ammo backpack. Hell, about the only enemy that's harder to deal with using the Epoch is the Factory Strider.

I'm not fully convinced about its utility against bugs, and haven't really used it against squids yet. But at least against bots, it's definitely been a bit of a game-changer due to the specific breakpoints against bot heavies.
How high does the charge go? I assume that there's additional damage to be had after the "glowy blue aura around the tip of the gun disappears" part, but how much?
