Nigga, we need more context than that, is 2.7m viewers in a week good or bad? How many viewers do average movies on Netflix get? How many did it need? Is Genndy having a meltdown on social media? Is he celebrating?

That said, if it's doing poorly, then good, I want to see it flop, even if that's a bit bittersweet.
Can't stand how all "adult" animation is just raunchy shit, sex, and dick jokes, I don't give a fuck who made it.
It drives me mad that we live in an age where I could probably argue Dogs In Space is more "mature" than most "adult" cartoons.

I guess it depends on if you mean "popular" in that people know of it, or "popular" as in the most people played it.
Either way:

>Vincent's character design is memorable and basically kickstarted an entire genre of moody anti-hero characters

>the best songs are memorable and/or god-tier, and the forgettable songs are forgotten
>was a massive weapon in the "disc vs cart" war because of the prerendered backgrounds and cutscenes, something still super uncommon at the time
I think the biggest thing though is probably just how massively beloved some parts are, to the point of overshadowing the fact that 3/4ths of the game varies between shit and meh.
I mean fuck, most people remember Midgar, the end of the game, Tifa's old town, and that one city with the giant cannon on it, and that's about fuckin' it. Most of the rest of the game is just kinda... there. Filler after blowing the budget on Midgar.
