The way Sparkle's kit works is that while it can directly copy a normal mob that she targets, it works differently against bosses. When used on a boss the skill gives you the choice of becoming an enemy associated with said boss. For example, if you were fighting Cocolia you'd be able to choose any variation of Silvermane guard. This makes you versatile to approach bosses with a multitude of enemy types.
Also, all Elation characters have their own unique kit gimmicks, which are in no way similar to Sparkle's as to highlight the way in which each of them pursues Elation. Sampo's is especially boundary breaking for HSR.
