There's a reason pic related became a massive meme that has stood the test of time for the last decade.
It's absolutely worth the read, even if you find yourself not liking certain aspects of the manga (the ending, while I wouldn't say is bad, is very esoteric) I promise it's still one of the most memorable manga's you'll ever read.
For me it's one of my top 5 all time favorites.
