I do love it, as much as I can "love" a vidya. It's the only MMO that ever made me feel like I'm living a second life in fantasy world, yet without second job level of obligations. And a social place where you run around doing shit with other people.
Gameplay and vibe gw2 has is just very un-4chan. Audience are all mellow boomers and middle age housewives, with a sprinkle of tired mmo nerds or youtubers. Even if they don't like something or have negative thoughts on the game, they can't be bothered to waste energy on hateposting on random forums. And don't feel the need to urge others to try it all the time, GW2 is a personal guilty pleasure.
Another similar example would be Elder Scrolls Online. A fucking lot of people play it, way more than gw2. Yet all presence that it has here is a slowass vm general or bursts of seething in tes lore/morrowind threads.
If Janthir was more bountiful on content there'd be less complaints. It's just there is barely anything to discuss from last two patches, so doom and gloom spreads.
Also /v/ is literally summer, underage kids ragebaiting in every fucking thread, because they've watched cool 4chin greenpost on youtube
