I’d say most /biz/lestinians are capable of getting into the top 9%/upper middle class but there are still things that can happen that make it harder/impossible for some people.

Monopoly the board game was supposedly invented by a communist that wanted to show how much of “success” in a capitalist society is determined by random chance and backroom dealing, which it plainly is.

All of that is to say: You can get into the upper middle class by working hard and buying the S&P, but it takes more than just intelligence and ambition to get into the 1%. You need luck and connections too.
