Well hey, anon, it's not too late to grab a midi keyboard and spend a while practicing scales in a DAW, I know a fair few people who started fairly late.

And just emulation lol. Prices on PC98s skyrocketed to the 1k+ level and are only just starting to come back down to the 600s, so I'll probably wait to Christmas to grab one. Kinda need one because like maybe 60% of titles even work with emulators. Had a friend in the states who had one which was fun.
