>go to restaurant
>get bill
>hit with 10 percent sales tax and 10 percent service tax
>suggested tip is 22 percent on the iPad
>sales and service tax are factored into the total, making the tip even higher
>literally paying them something like $25 for bringing over two entrees and some drinks
But what's really making me reconsider going out is not only this, but how we need to tip everyone now. Tip your laundromat, the coffee shop. You even go to McDonald's or grocery store and they want you to round up to the nearest dollar so that they can get a tax deduction for charitable donations.
I'm not sure why some teacher, nurse, or construction worker doesn't get a tip but the 24 year old at the most basic restaurant gets $50 an hour.
We maybe eat out once a month now. Total scam behavior. It's always $120 or more.
