If you mean stuff like crit buffs, it applies because of how future buffs are handled which are they last a set amount of turns instead of stacking 2x. In the JP wiki they call them single activation buffs or something. Seira has it too with Clock Tower later.

Currently on Global if you did it, your second hit wouldnt have any buffs unless you did something silly like 4x buff yourself. Its mostly used for just double blastering I think.
