mom just got home, we had lunch, talked about her trip. gonna watch the googl earnings, maybe some more youtube. i'm trying to get mom to watch the three body problem with me on netflix, i've seen it, it was fun, had a lot of filler but it was a good watch, excited for the 2nd season. her portfolio was up a ton on her trip, she said it was enough to pay for it and then some, which i'm happy about. she owns googl and wkey as well, i told her the good news. didn't mention bynd though, which she also holds.

just got word mom comes home next week. so glad. been alone so long. gonna watch the football game, first one of the season for me. glad that's back too. glowies say that because of all the turmoil and turnover in the chinese military that a conflict this year is unlikely. that was a relief to hear, but it's also worrisome that they're doing that, like they're preparing for something, however xi's favorite general apparently lost his job and it looks like an opposing faction has the upper hand in the military. all very complicated. but the bottom line is things should stay calm in 2025 in the pacific, at least that's the latest assessment fit for public consumption.
