I've been thinking that the vital thing to take away from this whole moment wasn't that "omg nobody buys it, Pomni will save him!", it's that Jax is committed to HIM buying it. And that's what makes him dangerous. Nobody can change Jax, he has to make that choice himself. It's like Zooble said, loving yourself is a choice you have to make.
