Pomni really doesnt seem to understand that Jax said in accordance to the rules of the circus, no one feels pain and she seems to keep forgetting that since Jax demanding Pomni to pull the trigger was him trying to egg her back into reality. He wouldnt even take it personally because death doesnt exist in this world. I appreciate them wanting to tackle complex character relationships and emotions between people. Like Ragatha "trying too hard" to be liked, remain positive, and to be there for Pomni sounds ridiculous to describe as a character flaw for a fictional character - but, as uncomfortable as it might be to admit, that's definitely a type of person you'll meet a few times in real life. It's admirable enough.

But, man, they always seem to say exactly what they're thinking or feeling in this show as of late. Especially between Jax and Pomni and Pomni and Ragatha. It's a little tiring and I can't help but cringe when I see it, and this episode had a lot of it. Does anyone else feel like the dialogue in the show could stand to be less "All tell, no show"?

My theory is that whatever happened that caused Ribbit to abstract, Jax was present for it. And he was the only one present for it, thus being the only one who really knows what happened. Ragatha and the others assume the worst, because Jax is a bit of an asshole, and blame him. Jax, fully absorbing his false persona to shut out his feelings about Ribbit's abstraction, doesn't elaborate and lets the others think what they want to think.

I can't speculate whether or not it was truly Jax's fault that Ribbit abstracted, but I certainly believe that Jax feels immense guilt about it.

I think he is just spreading the blame that "everybody else" also didn't step up when the writing was on the wall that someone was close to abstraction. Ribbit probably came to him at some point when things were bad and instead of opening up, Jax played it off as nothing and simply wanted em to quit it with the depressing stuff. 'lol stop acting weird. C'mon lets go cause some shenanigans." Ribbit weakly shrugged it off and rolled with it at the time. Then things became too much later with no actual support and they abstracted with Jax not being there. Hence the intermission showing Jax rushing to Ribbit's room only to find the X mark.

I wonder at which points each of them got gameyfied. Kinger is apparently the oldest one from the bunch we know and Pomni was the latest transfer, but what's the order for the rest? I also wonder about the time intervals between the alleged digitization. The hints about Jax's and Ragatha's past make it sound like they were already in the game for at least a year or so before Pomni joined.
