People who downplay or glorify Jax's actions are either teenagers or people with low empathy. I think a lot of them think that Jax would either like them (because "hE's JuSt LiKe Me!!!") and leave them alone or they'd be able to shut down his bullshit (which, maybe, Jax is benefitting from most of the cast not being willing or able to fight back against him).
