I joke a lot about Jax dying and I probably would come to terms with it but I'm also not violently opposed to him getting a happy ending. As long as it isn't one that retroactively justifies everything he's done.

Jax was indeed wrong, he created a psychological "armor" to avoid getting attached to people, but that "armor" hurts both him and others, and this is wrong.

>he says everyone in the circus has a role to play
>he thinks of everyone as his play things
>people are starting to (or never were in the first place) stray from the roles he's assigned them, proving his logic that there's no point in fighting back against the so-called "nature" of the circus wrong
>he's going to get worse instead of letting Pomni and Ragatha in, culminating in him doing something awful to Gangle because she's his favorite target
oh my god he's gonna kill Gangle. A lot of goose's sketches of Jax have turned out to be canon and there's one of him looking horrified at something and asking "why does this keep happening?".
