They won't.
Jax will have a redemption arc, and Pomni is the main character who is going to bring everything to resolution.

Abstraction isn't a narrative goal, it's a stand-in for mortal threat in a setting where characters can't technically die. It's there to allow tension and risk to exist.

None of the main humans will abstract, except MAYBE Kinger as a sort of sacrificial move. The real ones to watch are Caine and Bubble. They are becoming increasingly more unstable episode by episode. Being AIs, they can't abstract, but they can become corrupt, which is actually probably worse, since they can threaten the integrity of the entire circus. The endgame threat will likely be the characters working to defeat or save a corrupted Caine, likely losing Kinger in the process.

That's my prediction anyway. I could be way off the mark. Goose's narrative style can be unpredictable
