Why do people insist Zooble is out there specifically intending to piss Caine off, ep3 was a fluke and they changed subjects as fast as the circus started going to shit.

in ep4 they tell Jax is better to not specifically piss him off because he likes them and they wanna keep it that way. They already got forced into the adventure anyways so they werent in a complaining position for the day

in ep5 Zooble and Pomni straight up told him that they'd rather chill than doing some convoluted plot adventure. There was the lightning round but Caine being an ADHD AI just kept changing them because he got bored and Zooble rightfully called him out on it because the adventures are (supposedly) for the humans, or thats what he has told them since the start. So, if Caine lying about their purpose then no one is aware of it and the humans are in their right to call that out it just happens that Zooble was the louder voice at the present

in ep6 Zooble would rather hide than deal with Caine anymore but he insists in involving them because he is personally out for blood at this point. Zooble doesn't even care about giving feedback anymore and only did so out of confusion over why he choose to give up on them playing his little trust game so fast. She still played the damn adventure and had a fun time. There was also the sex comment but that was just to drive home how unwilling to listen he is and he still refuses to acknowledge that yet still pesters Zooble over and over.

Their rivalry so far is so one-sided from Caine's part and while it's understandable why he is trying to change Zooble's mind he is also a bit too annoying with it. How is Jax evil? When has he ever done something actually fucked up? He is the only one actually trying to take things seriously - by not taking them seriously - by at least somewhat embracing being a digital cartoon character. He is still failing at that, but he does it far better than all of the other characters, who never even try getting into any kind of role and just rawdog every adventure without ever roleplaying once and taking things way too seriously. The most fun he ever had was coincidentally, when he and Pomni teamed up and roleplayed for the team FFA, until his crashout at the end, when he didn't want to play anymore. That is the first time you can point to, where he is mean, but he is also only stating the only thing he and everyone else would be forced to do by their situation and it's clearly leaving out what he would be feeling during it, so it's not even worded in a particular mean way, just in a matter-of-fact kind of way.

I think it's a complete loss of purpose.
Finding an exit had become the sole thing driving Kaufmo so when he finally accepted it was impossible he abstracted. Jax has convinced himself that his and everyone else's purpose is fulfilling their archetypal role and appears to be on the verge of abstracting when that belief is challenged. Caine exists to keep those who enter the circus entertained with adventures and is having a breakdown now that it's become obvious that he sucks at it.
When Kinger is telling Pomni about his wife, he says the worst thing you can do is make someone think they're not wanted or loved. That's not as directly related to the purpose thing. But what I think it boils down to is that being important to another person is a fairly reliable way for people to find purpose. But on the other hand making them feel like they don't matter to anyone is a good way to destroy them. This is what was happening with Gangle when she felt like the spudsy's adventure had made everyone hate her. And Ragatha's breakdown over failing Pomni was also about her fearing she'd driven away the only chance at friendship she had left. This even plays in to what's going on with Jax and Caine.
Caine more straightforwardly wants to be liked and that not being the case is contributing to his breakdown. And while Jax is well aware that no one likes him and has halfway embraced that, he does still care about maintaining his role in the others' lives. The other residents hating and fearing him is still them thinking about him and caring what he does and what happens to him. It's still a warped kind of purpose. If everyone just started ignoring him and not letting his antics get to them, he would most likely abstract.

I'm still tentatively holding on to the theory that Jax is the NPC that Caine created after accidentally deleting the original. In ep 4 his cars registery number reads JAX - 001, which many have speculated, is referring to 3D-programs commonly labeling a copy of an object as .001 by default. Though Caine did state he cannot directly make alterations to the Circus members, the show has been alluding to that not being entirely true. Him being able to also completely delete one could very well be possible, why else would he be concerned about mixing up NPCs and real people. Wouldn't he be able to tell them apart easily if he can delete NPCs but not people?

Jax might at least subconciously suspect this himself, fueling his "I'm just a cartoon archtype"-cope even more. While Caine based this version of him on the data of the original, some of it might been lost in the process, obvious example being his tail. Caine could be either AI which purpose is to make people in it happy, but without instructions how to do that (that would explain random adventures and how he is upset for not receiving good feedback) or he is the programmer, the first one who got sucked in and the craziest one. He remember his purpose (he made environment to make people happy) and he have power in it (since he's a creator), but he lost his mind just like Kinger and others. Since he's a creator, he can't abstract.
