It was literally $41 cheaper not three days ago (picrel). There is a used version for $436 on Amazon's Warehouse Listing you can try your luck with (and return it if it's bad). Also make sure you update the firmware as older versions had a frameskipping issue that was fixed.

Otherwise I recommend instead you buy the same exact panel being sold by Acer for basically that AOC's old price for new here:
