>to me it feels obvious that sex is an incredibly corrosive concept born from poor soil. quite a few of our behaviours are practically mating rituals that we've gotten quite clever at disguising as otherwise, really. some of the worst-of-the-worst crimes with sexual motivations. quite a few blunders due to sexual immorality. a lot of institutional oppression based on the matter, inherently reducing people to just reproductive fitness and so on.

i'd 100% argue sex has lead to more total suffering than pleasure and joy, honestly through rape alone + some of the worst crimes in history being usually accompanied by rape
and of course, sex informs how we approach society - why were women treated as cattle for most of history? because it was optimal. why? optimisation pressures that exist generally as a result of us being, again, darwinist evolved species
this is the only way things could've ever been
BUT! Ponies are pure, they wouldn't rape or de-humanise (de-equinize?) eachother
first of all, to ensure 100% conflict-free sex (which isn't always just rape. sex is inherently a very emotional thing. if one has a crush and you found out they had sex with some other guy, you will most likely feel viscerally upset.) reduces [+] variability in the universe and probably in regards to personality unless you're quasi-hijacking them when they're thinking about anything in regards to sex specifically or letting the strings of fate never get in that position in the first place. if you're fine with that, i still think there's some issues.
then you are left with vestigial organs. design and form help dictate function and behaviour. a lot of the great ponies is their incredibly simple designs, but paired with amazing and fairly complex, human personalities! a perfect merger. but our extremities feel distinctly out of place and _human_. the aesthetics, and thus everything else, will slide to be more human-like, and light is lost,
