Panning at those speeds is pretty damn hard, especially if you aren't in full manual mode or at least just MF and shutter priority. Still, the fence might require the apature to be set carefully, too.
A couple of the best places to take pics I have found are Turn 1 as they come out of the pits, just before Turn 2 you can get some good shots of the cars bouncing off the curbing (pic related is from film in 2010, sorry it's trash). Turn 5 at the bottom of the esses is pretty good. There is a manhole along the fence on Spectator Hill that looks back along the esses that is fantastic, especially if you have a long lens. Turn 7 is probably the best place for getting detailed, close up shots. The bridge on the back stretch is pretty good and the middle of the hill on the entry to 10 is also great. >>151347231 The bride on the hill between 10b and 11 is also pretty sick because you can get some amazing shots of the cars coming, but also some tails away shots from the other side.
