They forget to mention in econ 101 that supply and demand only applies to economic entities of a certain size. Once theyre big enough they never ever EVER sell at a loss and will bitterly bludgeon consumers and lobby to have their losses subsidized and force the market to accept higher costs on inferior products. Look at the automotive industry, no one is buying these shit ass cars but prices continue rising and they will not go down until the entire industry collapses, which the banks holding vestment in these sellers wont allow because they wont get their loans repayed if the sellers declare bankruptcy
