It really depends on the genre.

If you like JRPGs, PS1 and PS2 is the peak of the genre.

If you liked shooters, X360/PS3 is the peak. If you like Cinematic games, PS4/PS5. I would say if you like Souls-like games and castlevanias you are entering a peak for the genre. As always though, a different genre will start to thrive while the old falters.
