Went ahead and included Mario is Missing and New Super Luigi U as Luigi's 4th and 5th game. Mario is Missing does not have Luigi's name in the title and wasn't developed by Nintendo, and NSLU was originally released as DLC for NSMBU and not a standalone game so that's why they were initially left out. So they're more honorable mentions here.

Yeah sure Wario's Woods it's technically a Toad game. But not specifically a Captain Toad game.

Poor Yoshi. His first game was so amazing that everything else that followed is a disappointment. Every game feels like it’s trying to be the first again but ends up living in its shadow.
