Not to make this too much of a blogpost, but I think the remaster isn't all that great. I mean it's good that it's now an official release, and on a better engine, but I don't think it's necessarily better than the freeware version.
The new soundtrack is fucking terrible. Outside of Toby Fox's work on the combat themes, which are good, but not as good as the originals by Alias Conrad Coldwood.
But, the mod to restore the original OST is already out, so for the PC version that's no problem.
The combat revamp is disappointing, in some ways it is worse than the original, since time pause when you select your move, removing the hectic and very fast-paced nature of the combat, which was its original only strong suit.
The new bosses are really cool though, even if they feel out of place lore-wise.

Just beat OFF (remastered edition)
