But let me engage you in an actually genuine matter anon. The whole point of the manga is about PEOPLE running away from painfull confrontations one way or another and the pitfalls this eventually brings to their life. Characters only talk about their own experiences and their own reflections. When the MC takes responsibility for his wife its not because he is actually the sole responsible party for the situation but because he realizes his mistakes and wants confront and fix things whatever the cause or result may be (hence the "settled it black and white"). MC's old crush is never the mouthpiece of the author either, she is as much of a guild ridden selfish retard as most of the other characters are.
On that note this is a series pretty similar to kurosawas where if you don't want to engage with what they are talking about you will just make retarded greentext posts while missing their whole points.
