Illusion was so poorly executed it's ridiculous.
They had an identity (eye of horus + battle effs) and less than a year later most ditched both the egyptian theme and battle effects.
And gameplay wise chimera is worse branded and heckinhands could've just been literally anything else they don't scream illusion to me. Based on art and gameplay they look and play like a modernized counterfairy deck so i would've guessed fairy.

Horus.dek should've been illusion or at least had an illusion monster down the line since it's multi-type and attribute.
We should've had a relinquished support wave that's illusion oriented.
Every card in the exodia support should've been illusion, instead the illusion cards are the ones you skip cuz they suck so bad.
Serket and apophis should've been illusion.
And Nightmare magician should've had an actual deck.

But at this point it's too late.
Just absolute failure of a type. I somehow have more respect for cyberse.
