>6 clans (technically 7), Gangrel and Nosferatu got cut, Banu Haqim and Lasombra were added, Malkavian is “playable” for all
>2 of them (Toreador and Lasombra) are locked behind $20 day 1 DLC, Paradox got shit on so much they said they’re changing it
>Fabian is Malkavian, whenever you “sleep” you play as him in the past to regain his memories
>Fabian is a 1920s Malkavian detective and you explore his memories as him to figure out how he got murdered
>Part of the reason for the delay was Fabian got completely rewritten, before he was a lot “younger” and more “modern”
>Cannot customize face, but can change makeup, hair, clothing, piercings, and so on. This is because Phyre is Middle Eastern and that has story relevance
>Phyre’s background and how NPCs react will change depending on dialogue options over time (the devs acknowledged that players may lie, too)
>As Phyre you can unlock powers from other clans by harvesting their emotional resonances from feeding on them
>Phyre has some powers, like telekinesis, unlocked by default because they are an Elder
>More work was put on mobility, like climbing, gliding, and a “vampire run”
>No inventory, you can use weapons like guns and knives but you don’t carry them permanently
>There is a Seattle version of “Deb of the Night” called “Bet of Night”
>No skills like lock picking or hacking. Part of this is story (it makes no sense for Phyre to know how to hack) but part is also direction (more action oriented)
>There is “Persuasion/Intimidation/Seduction” but it’s not a skill, it’s based on dialogue options you choose combined by things like clan, what you’re wearing, your reputation, past interactions, etc
>Game starts off linear, then opens up and you do different missions for different clan leaders
>Initial impressions are overall positive, although there’s acknowledgment it’s very different from Bloodlines 1, feeling more like Dishonored or the Darkness
