I didn't even get around to the recent SHotN stuff in my last playthrough, between the three chunky updates I was puttering through I never reached there. Always more stuff to check out in the future. It's nice to know that whatever goes on beyond that, people will always keep slowly chipping away at Skyrim and Morrowind related stuff to keep me in my happy place. TESVI be damned, I have the seventh retouching of the Telvanni Isles to look at.

Shitty practices can and will still cause issues but it's not that much of an issue just by avoiding some older messes, half of which predate the CK itself. My currently oldest Skyrim save hovers around four years with 450ish hours of gameplay, all I had to do at some point was give the scripts a simple clean because of age but that's more about time spent than the mods. The longer you play and the more you have the bigger your saves will become, but it's a lot more important what's in them modwise than how big it is.
