it's much less about things being sacred and much more about the proper time and place. like i said, that feeling of "why would you do this? i was really beginning to like you." is always at the forefront when it happens. it's just... weird to flip that switch from literally 0 to 100 out of nowhere, with no real warning and apropos of nothing preceding it.
i know better, it's fine. the brain does a fantastic job of ignoring or downplaying the bad parts of something after the fact, and i try to keep that in mind at all times. doesn't stop me from missing all the good though, just have to remind myself why i left in the first place.
