i just find elves so boring, man. idk i came up on stuff like diablo 1 and 2, conan the barbarian, kane the mystic swordsman, etc. and these settings never had elves or dwarves or orcs. they never seemed critical to a setting to me and frankly just seem like less interesting replacements for humans or whatever.
