Cheaters get too much of a hard time. Cheaters aren't bad. They're very passionate people whose feelings overwhelm them. Cheaters can be very loyal people. They're willing to hurt others, willing to break societal norms, and willing to stain their soul just to be with that special someone. They aren't loyal to their original partner, no, but their loyalty to the new partner is nothing short of stunning.

The problem with Homura is that she is an already very mentally ill and utterly co-dependent women surrounded by a bunch of suicidal people. She has since seen all of these people die countless times, and the only one of those people who gave a shit about her left her to deal with everything whilst she herself was suffering with now being a god.
