Yom Sang-seop’s Three Generations and Ko Un’s Ten Thousand Lives are the only ones that come to mind (haven’t read either so I can’t vouch for their quality). You could check out Eyes of Dawn, its portrayal of the events is somewhat surface-level and obviously dramafied but it’s still a great watch.

Yeah I think I saw the opening 20 minutes of it back then. Didn't dislike it, just wasn't in the mood for it.
