silver was going to have an uphill battle with or without a cool voice. sonic 06 was coming hot off the heels of shadow05, a game seen as the franchise's fall from grace with a deviantart oc wielding guns. now imagine yet another male hedgehog being introduced, coming in with not only a bad story but showing him beating sonic. there's no rematch on sonic's end or any sort of worthwhile resolution that makes the new hedgehog enjoyable in any way. just a weird we're friends now scene, sonic's death, and then that same hedgehog turning super along with sonic to beat a time god
