The problem with Bowser/Eggman comparisons is that Bowser actually cares for his people. This doesn't just extend only to his son or his nephews and niece, but to all of his subjects. He even makes it a rule to not leave any Koopa behind. When his subjects betrayed him for Fawful and came crawling back after his defeat, he wasn't cruel to them or rejected them. He just simply welcomed them back. Compared that to Eggman and how he sealed away Infinite forever the moment he lost to Sonic and outlived his usefulness. Or how he treated E-102 Gamma. Bowser was always portrayed as a mean bully with a soft heart. But Eggman was always portrayed as a egotistical tyrant. So, saying that Eggman should be more like Bowser is a weird take to have.
