On a more serious note, the voyage will go for the shrine 9/10 times. Get some walls and the unqiue landmark there, along with a respectable garrisoned army (of archers) should keep it secure. I tend to quickly deal with the minor delf faction, might require some cheese to take the gate without too many casualties. Deal with Slaanesh, double Alarielle back to the inner donut and deal with Saphery, or if Tyrion is spanking them, deal with Noctulus. Remember that you're going to be rolling in influence with how many cities Alarielle visits, use it generously.
