You have people who just want to oush their own ideas and agendas without any actual care about the IP, and eventually people just get fed up of it.

Quantumania is like the perfect example, where you have Ant-man starting and ending in the exact same place. Everything that happens in that movie is filler.
And then you have smaller projects that have people who care about the IP but won't do well simply due to the lack of customers who give a shit - like Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night. Unironically pretty decent, Werewolf by Night had some interesting cinemactic shit going on, but how many people is it really going to draw to the platform?
