For that decklist, Jerry is another gameplan but not the sole focus. Ramp is one. Storm with Galmieux and Forte is another. Ho-chan into Satan is a fourth angle against slower decks.
For Abyss I thought the problem is that they do want to double up on their good cards like aragavy and ginsetsu, so tablet is garbage for it.
