Chorus zealot is wipe prevention, horde clear and bodyguard. Don't run the retarded blades toughness build with chorus, it's dogshit. I don't care how much Mr. Estrogen tries to gaslight you into thinking backstab cdr is good enough, it not only requires an ogryn to work well, it also stops working when things start going wrong, which with pubbie randos, happens often. Also builds not running purity are fucking pointless. The amount of wounds you can prevent even with the small chip heal is insane. Shield of Contempt is also massively underrated in an actually competent party that only rarely takes health damage.

If you're assigned bodyguard duty, you hang back and spam flamer, while keeping enemies off your psyker and/or veteran, ideally both, which form a perfect trifecta with zealot. Fourth is ideally ogryn, LW mine arbitrator, or non-chorus zealot. If you're safe, you can play aggressively and push with chorus. In any case, always chorus when a horde starts coming your way to start locking them in place and provide toughness. You should have somewhere around 33% uptime. Don't be afraid to charge into battle and through flames, health is your cooldown resource. It's not difficult to play.

Damage zealots are also good, but much more niche. I don't think FotF is optimal, but stealth, even keystoneless, is very strong. The role here is diving dangerous areas and removing high value targets before they become a problem. Particularly effective during rituals, although I still believe rituals to be the easiest modifier with a competent chorus zealot, since two flame grenades wipe out an entire ritual without even doing anything else. But this assumes you can break away from your team and dive the ritual without your retards wiping, which might already be assuming too much.

I erroneously suggested bomber res before. After testing, it turns out it doesn't work against flames OR fart gas, just their melee attacks, so it's dogshit.
