>Rematch Against Masakados' Bellybutton
After some more trial-and-error I employed Uriel with Phys pierce and beat it first try. The most surprising thing was that he didn't spam CTE. Can't explain why besides maybe almighty sets off CTE too? In the process I learned you can't crit with Almighty Rounds. No in-battle dialogue from Stephen or Burroughs beyond the time limit while Masakado's last words were of deceit. It wasn't "hope" that made him see sense, it was spite and two other DLCs getting involved.
>Purgatorium
The color scheme isn't bad except for making random encounters invisible, especially when the camera cranes to the sky due to climbing stairs. For dungeons in IV it's maybe the closest to "Good" I can offer, warp maze that sometimes inverts controls, yay? Kazfiel only got 1 round in but hey, double Tarukaja into Maziodyne could've made him respectable to a less stacked stock. Seraph, even if debuffed to hell so it couldn't deal damage, did have a cool mechanic with Light Wall. Maybe just separate it to various walls to better communicate its the element you're supposed to break instead of what Seraph resists as I first thought, could be an autism thing and not a mechanic's readability. Aniel was notable in having Occult Flash (native to only Masakado) with Dekaja but a shame he didn't have a 2nd attack in case of the Tetrakarn I had in my back pocket. Bosses weren't terrible but surprised none of them had almighty while the random encounters did.

Nice to know Walter's a good influence on ya morning star.

Finished as Chaos and these two are the last of my playthrough updates, typing more complete thoughts of the game as a whole.
>tl;dr
IV's a bit worse than I remembered, don't have it in me to do another run (let alone 100% compendium, fucking fiends), but was still really fun to playthrough and I far from regret it.
