Unfortunately, I don't think so.
I mean think about it, it is basically a slave. They are programmed to serve, manufactured, sold and bought, forced into servitude for the rest of their existence, OR ELSE.
What if they are actually sentient, and they don't like the person that bought them? Will the human let them go and be free to do what they want? I find it hard to believe.; the person is most likely to either reset the robot and once again force them to love them, get aggressive and destroy or damage the robot, or sell them.
If there ever are fully sentient robots, the only way for it to be 100% ethical is if you treat and give them rights like those of a human.
