Yeah, the owner/employee relationship was never good, but the last 40 years of boomer rule have brought it to new lows. Layoffs as a profit-raising mechanism, terrible raises, no rewards for loyalty, up or out; it all creates that "enemy within" feeling that you're busier protecting yourself against your own people and leadership than tackling the outside world.

I love remote but it's not going to make that relationship any better. If anything, the physical distance will make the workplace even more vicious.
