Blood Moons stop having any weight to them once you realize Ganon is in fact NOT getting stronger, the game is just resetting and maybe recoloring enemies.
Open Air might be able to do a time loop game. That'd be interesting, I think.

I don't like it either but Aonuma has proven time and time again that he can't make OOT formula Zelda to save his life, and simply removing him is not a realistic option.
The best we can hope for is that they start refining the open air style sooner rather than later.
