Age of Calamity's story is actually good though and way, way better than what we actually got in BotW.
That Calamity Ganon wasn't much of a character whatsoever and more like a force of nature. Was fine. Really. But the fact that there was no herald(s) of Ganon to act as antagonist really sucked.

That's the thing that bothers me. Why is all the coolest shit not happening in the actual Zelda games? Nah, man. The combat was all about poke low, poke high, block low, block high. In that way, it has some of the tightest, most frenetic combat of any game ever made. Jumping is all about controlling your space. It's very layered.

Having played Zelda 2 for the first time like 8 years ago I'm still blown away by how much depth the combat has only to never be reused. Waay better than the Castlevanias and probably any other sidescroller I can think of at the time.

Just wanna say Twilight Zelda is one of the better Zeldas. She also reminds me of Saeko Busujima and it is a shame she barely appears in the game she's in. If they make a sequel ever to Twilight, I would not mind if she learned combat as well and used some spells to go along with that. Perhaps her segments could be more like J-action games and she can also be Brawl Sheik and have a moveset tied to that as well.
Finally, the brown hair is beautiful and she needs Link to give her a big hug.

I like both, but they are effectively complete opposites. Castlevania you are very sluggish and clunky, and have to use your superior range and projectiles to keep space. Well in Zelda 2, Link is quite nimble but has 0 range, so you constantly have to bob and weave your attacks.

I mean, they say that but Echoes of Wisdom almost has Ultrahand, it's a much simpler mechanic and you can't build contraptions but you still get stuff out of your ass and place it to interact with the environment so while Ultrahand as it was in TotK may not return they might decide to go with some similar concept anyway.
