It's about respect (or rather, it was). Lilith owns Rinko, but Aoi's her artist, so she's his too, in a sense. It's why people are getting so worried and upset over this whole third-party artist/AI thing. Barring an unforeseen inconvenience, or a fun, once a blue moon gimmick, like >>8626536 mentioned, the character "belongs" to the artist and people expect to see art of Rinko or anyone else from their respective artist.
