A real problem that I rarely see /v/ discuss is that the whole microtransaction game as a service thing was TOO successful
So now a dozen or so, decade old games control the majority of the market. League, Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite, Warzone, GTAO, you know what I mean
The Skinner Box is so perfected that the industry is wilting because they can't get the mice to leave. This shit didn't happen back when Street Fighter 2 or Quake 3 or god forbid World of Warcraft was the biggest game in the world.
