Yeah, I expanded that ending. If you escape with the girl and maxed out her affection, you get variations depending on which character you were playing as. I didn't like that the girl just fucked off in the waifu route, so I changed it.

You make the hydra happy, isn't that enough? :) Like I said, the motivation is different. For the hydra, you goal is to meet his demand for food and doesn't not require the participant to be willing. For the marriage, the goal is to complete a ritual that requires the participant to be willing. The protag isn't trying to have sex to feel good, it's to do the ritual.

A better example would be the temple of torment. In order to summon the tortured one, you have to sacrifice someone and oddly nobody objects if you choose them to be subjected to a slow and agonizing death. Maybe miro just didn't feel like coding in the characters defending themselves? I think in Termina the characters actually do object to being sacrificed but you can still fight and overpower them to sacrifice them by force.
